Vertical Systems

Providing an efficient means of fall protection when climbing vertical ladders or accessing mast structures is essential, as the majority of falls occur during these tasks. Vertical wire or rail systems allow normal speed two-handed climbing, reducing fatigue compared to other methods. They also do not require the structure to be fully loadbearing, so can be fitted to alloy ladders. All our systems are compliant to EN362 and are installed by certified engineers.

Wire Installations

TAG installs a wide range of flexible and semi-flexible wire fall arrest systems from the leading manufacturers, allowing the best compatibility with your site structure and existing protective equipment. The energy of a fall is safely transferred to the top anchor point, so wire systems can be installed on the widest range of ladders and can accommodate any flexibility the structure may have. Users can attach and disconnect from the system at any point, allowing access to multiple points on a structure.

Rail Installations

Rail-based vertical fall arrest systems use a rigid metal rail or channel along which a travelling arrest device moves, that locks securely in the event of any fall. Rail-based systems distribute the forces of any fall across a series of anchor points, and so can accommodate higher numbers of simultaneous users than wire-based systems of the same length – making them popular on large structures such as chimneys and antenna masts.
